Southeast Seattle Senior Center

The Southeast Seattle Senior Center offers social, health, and recreation activities and services designed to encourage new experiences, new discoveries, and continued independence. The Center is open Mondays through Fridays 9am to 4pm with occasional weekend events. Membership at the Center is encouraged but not required, and is open to all adults 50 years and older.

"I am 90 years old and the reason I am so healthy and doing so well is Southeast Seattle Senior Center. I walk around Seward Park with the Sound Steps group and I see my friends at lunch and in the craft room. If the center was not here, I would be home alone most of the time." - Esther

Prime Rib Dinner

Friends and Family Welcome! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a sumptuous prime rib dinner fundraiser at SESSC. Menu includes prime rib, baked potato with all the fixings, tossed green salad and dessert! Join us for dinner, music and an evening of fun. Kids are encouraged to attend. You may pay online or pay at the Front Desk. Take out Orders are available.

Date: Friday, February 24, 2012
Time: 4pm to 7pm
Cost: $20 per person, $6 Kids under 12

“A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falling”

is a FREE, 8-week series of classes. It is a 2-hour class, once a week for 8 weeks. It includes educational presentations, group discussions, and a series of gentle strength and balance exercises.

The next series will be on Thursdays, 1:00pm – 3:00 p.m., from January 5th through March 1st. To register or to get more information, call Jean Anton at 206-722-0317.
